Prayer ministries

Prayer Ministry Mission Statement:

We would bring glory to God by being committed and unified in prayer to unleash God's awesome power to reach the lost, impact this world for Christ, and advance God's Kingdom.

...For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." Matthew 18:20

Thursday Night Prayer Service starts at 7:00 P.M. and is held in the church fellowship hall: Information on the Praise and Prayer ministry is available by contacting Lou Piazza (860) 205-3786 or Pastor Dave Lemoine (860) 798-6103.

Cord of Three: A special prayer ministry based upon Ecclesiastes 4:9-12:

"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie down together, they will keep warm; but how can one be warm alone? Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken."

This prayer ministry is powerful for everybody and has proven especially powerful for the pulling down of strongholds that we may have allowed to enter into our lives; constant worry, anger, lusts, substance abuse, and others. We all have weaknesses that the enemy wants to exploit, but we are called to Holiness, Purity of mind and heart, and to become Overcomers in Christ Jesus our Lord!

What is it?  Three people get together once a week to pray for 15 minutes.  This is at a place and time of their own choosing.  You can form your own group, or if you want to be a part of one and don't know who to contact, please speak to the Pastor and he will help you form a group, or get plugged into one.

If you would like to form a group, please contact Howard Weldon (860) 874-5188 or Pastor Dave Lemoine (860) 798-6103.

Prayer Room:

There is a prayer room that is located behind the sanctuary. The room offers comfortable seating, the option to play some praise music, some books and material on prayer, and notebooks that inform of the prayer opportunities being focused on in our church at any given time.

Many of you may live a distance away in other towns or have busy schedules which make it inconvenient for you to come all the way to the church to pray and we understand that.  But, if you do happen to be at the church for some other reason, take a moment to check the prayer room out.  It’s another alternative that might at times be helpful in your prayer life.  If you’d like, Paul or Howard would be excited to meet personally with you and show you the prayer room -- just see them at your convenience.

Any questions regarding the prayer room, please contact Aaron Gill Aaron Gill at (860) 871-5906 or by email, or Pastor Dave Lemoine (860) 798-6103.

Prayer Chain Network:

This is another vital part of our church ministry. By being faithful in doing our part as members of His body, this prayer chain seeks to insure God's continued presence in the lives and needs of those we hold dear before Him.

Do You Need Prayer?

Does someone you love need prayer?

At the present time FBCT has 4 prayer chains in operation all the time, day and night. This is an intercessory prayer chain and it is kept confidential.

If you have a concern or know someone who could use extra prayer at a critical time, call in your request to (860) 944-1273 and Pat Grundman will send your prayers out to all 4 prayer chains.

If it is an urgent situation you may also call the Pastor directly (Home Phone 860-643-1393 / Cell 860-798-6103), your deacon, or deacon chairman (Jay Burns 860-614-3568) who will take immediate action as required.

The Bible tells us to “pray for one another”. That’s just what we do!
