David R. Lemoine is the Pastor at First Baptist Church Tolland (FBCT). He was raised in the Berkshires of Western MA and attended the First Baptist Church of North Adams, accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior as a young boy. He graduated from Drury High School in June 1964 and immediately enlisted in the United States Air Force serving 20 years in the jet engine maintenance and management field. His tours of duty included several U.S. bases, Bitburg Germany, and Viet Nam.
Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force he completed a Bachelor of Science degree at North Adams State College and was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aerospace Company as a systems engineer and general manager on military and space propulsion systems for 23 years prior to becoming Pastor of FBCT in August of 2013.
He met and married his wife Donna in Clearwater, Florida while serving at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida in August of 1965. They have been married for 48 years, and have 3 grown children who are all married, with 10 Grandchildren.
The Pastor and his wife faithfully served the Lord over those 48 years in various churches and in diverse roles and responsibilities including; Sunday school teacher for children, youth, and adults, as a deacon, and associate pastor for the First Baptist Church of Hobe Sound, FL. where he was ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister. He has completed undergraduate and graduate college degrees and was enrolled in the Masters of Divinity programs with both Regents and Liberty Universities.
